You don’t have to just eat vegetables by themselves, have them on the side with every meal. Eat whole grain foods, and not processed grains. For example, eat brown rice instead of white, and try whole wheat spaghetti, not the high starch content spaghetti that has been processed. Fish is a big part of eating healthy and preventing diseases such as diabetes. If you don’t like fish, you only need to eat fish about 2 times a week which isn’t a big deal at all. Eat lean meat. Don’t eat the skin on the chicken or turkey, and cut as much fat off the meat as you can. Here is a big one… Stop drinking diet sodas, they are actually worse for you then regular sodas. Drink more plain water, at least one litre per day and if possible drink up to two litres per day.
